Without marshals, there wouldn't be motor sport!
Whether the event is a Formula One Grand Prix, an International Rally or, as in the LRS Challenge, a regional club event, it needs volunteers to run smoothly and safely.
A marshal’s job is essential, providing administrative functions and safety cover.
It's the closest you can get to the action without being sat in the driving seat!
LRS Challenge marshals contribute to a more enjoyable, more effcient and a safer challenge event.
They basically ‘make the event happen’.
The LRS Challenge appreciates these valuable volunteers by making sure that when they sign on they receive a ‘food and drinks pack’ to help sustain them throughout the day, as well as running a ‘Marshals Championship’ with a reward at the end of the season.
For those wishing to become involved with motor sport but not as a competitor, there can be no better introduction than as a marshal or official. If you wish to help, your presence will be welcomed and appreciated, and by actively participating you will ensure that the LRS Challenge continues to be a success.
